Will Hong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Media and Journalism at SUNY New Paltz. He began his career in the fine arts with positions at the National Gallery of Art and the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, D.C. before earning an M.A. in art history at Princeton University, specializing in the history of photography and cinema. He then transitioned to filmmaking and earned an M.F.A. at the Tisch School of the Arts-NYU in the Graduate Film program. He has spent most of the last two decades in the film and television industry in New York City, working as a cameraman and then editor on short and feature-length films, TV spots, music videos, various reality TV shows, as well as corporate and web-based content. He has taught the fundamentals of filmmaking at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, the New York Film Academy (NYC), Marist College, and the Dalton School. He lives in the mid-Hudson Valley with his wife and a very sensitive beagle.
